**Research Fellow in Human and Health Sciences**
**£39,460 – £44,274 per annum**
**Fixed-term for 2 years, 37 hours per week**

The University of Huddersfield’s School of Human and Health Sciences invites applications for a Research Fellow position. This role offers an exciting chance to engage with an ambitious international research initiative: “A Multi-Country Longitudinal Cohort Study on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in the Global South.” Our school is a dynamic center for excellence in research and teaching, dedicated to tackling global health challenges. This position supports a one-of-a-kind project spearheaded by the Global Consortium for Public Health Research, in collaboration with top institutions in Nepal, India, and Ghana. The project aims to form a longitudinal cohort study to pinpoint NCD risk factors, produce significant evidence, and create effective interventions to alleviate the burden of NCDs in low- and middle-income countries.

As a Research Fellow, you will be integral to the project, conducting preliminary data collection, and engaging in both qualitative and quantitative research. You will collaborate closely with international partners to achieve the project’s goals. While your primary base will be in Huddersfield, expect frequent fieldwork in Nepal, India, and Ghana.

Candidates should hold a PhD in a related field and possess a minimum of two years’ experience in longitudinal or epidemiological research, with strong expertise in quantitative methods. Understanding the health systems in Nepal, India, and Ghana is essential. Success in this role will rely on your ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and your dedication to advancing global health research.
