The University of Dundee is aiming to significantly enhance its research performance by expanding its share of strategic international research grants. We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic, creative, and target-driven individual to join our RIS Research Development Team as a Research Development Manager (International/EU). This new role is crucial in supporting the transformation of our international research capabilities, boosting our research excellence, and increasing our research funding, especially from international sources and the EU.
**Responsibilities:**
– Provide research development support to help our researchers secure prestigious international/EU research funding, including exploring opportunities with NIH, international foundations, and industry.
– Establish and maintain strong connections with international funders, partner organizations, policymakers, and key University staff to influence global strategies, programs, policies, and funding opportunities.
– Pinpoint areas of strength within the University, and formulate plans for securing international/EU research funding to enhance our capacity in these areas.
– Identify and maximize large international strategic research funding opportunities, and develop procedures for the academic community to effectively pursue these opportunities.
– Manage a pipeline of bids for international/EU calls, coordinate large-scale strategic international bids, facilitate pre-bid consortium building, and prepare business cases to secure significant global investments in research and innovation.
