The School of Computing at the University of Kent is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Research Associate to join their project entitled “Child-protection based strategies to fight against sexual abuse and exploitation crimes (ALUNA)”. This project involves 18 partners across 11 countries, and will be a full-time role on a fixed-term basis of 24 months. The closing date for applications is 23.59 hours BST on Tuesday 30 May 2023 (unless otherwise stated).
The successful candidate must have experience in computing science research, with experience or interest in digital forensics. They must have a problem-solving approach and be willing to travel within the UK and abroad to conferences to present work and to attend project meetings.
The role will include meeting objectives set by the Principal Investigator, supporting the research of other team members, attending project meetings, and remaining up-to-date with the relevant literature. The successful candidate should have a PhD in a topic related to Computer Science, experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java or C/C++), academic publications in cyber security of digital forensics.
