Role Description:
As the Research and Evaluation Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the ACU’s involvement in the AU EU International Research Consortium (IRC). This consortium focuses on addressing Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) and aligns with the AU-EU cooperation on Research and Innovation, particularly through the High-Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD).
Your role will involve managing partnerships, developing and implementing Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks for two Horizon Europe funded programs that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the IRC. This will require designing participatory monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks, as well as data collection and analysis systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for project management and reporting to Horizon Europe program coordinators based in Ghana.
Qualifications:
To succeed in the role of Research and Evaluation Manager, you should possess experience in creating inclusive MEL frameworks, data collection and analysis systems. Additionally, a strong understanding of the research and innovation landscape related to food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture in Africa and Europe is required.
Key requirements include:
– Proficiency in MEL within sustainable agriculture and food security, including framework design, data collection tools, and analysis.
– Ability to analyze research impact.
– Strong administrative and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
– Experience in managing international projects and stakeholders.
– Excellent relationship management abilities.
– Previous experience working in large international partnerships at multiple levels.
