Job Opportunity at the University of Surrey: Regional Manager for International Recruitment in MENA and Pakistan

The University of Surrey is looking for an experienced professional to fill the role of Regional Manager, International Student Recruitment, focusing on the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan. This strategic position is crucial to guiding and expanding the university’s international student recruitment efforts within these dynamic regions. As a Regional Manager, you will be at the forefront of creating and nurturing strong connections with agents, sponsors, and school counselors. Your role will involve designing and implementing recruitment strategies to drive student enrollment and seamlessly align with the university’s ambitious growth objectives.

This position requires you to take charge of recruitment campaigns, ensure exceptional customer service, and maximize the conversion of applicants into enrolled students. You will significantly impact the creation and execution of recruitment strategies for the MENA and Pakistan regions, while also building essential partnerships that contribute to the overall success of the university’s international recruitment team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage regional recruitment strategies to meet student intake targets, with minimal supervision.
  • Provide line management to the International Officer, guiding the team to achieve high-performance outcomes.
  • Utilize your deep knowledge of the education landscape in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan to align recruitment activities with the university’s strategic goals.
  • Take leadership in managing recruitment efforts across the MENA and Pakistan regions to enhance their impact and effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in the higher education sector, particularly in international student recruitment. You should have a successful track record in overseeing overseas recruitment activities and a comprehensive understanding of the commercial and cultural aspects of international recruitment. Strong presentation skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and experience organizing large-scale events are essential. Proficiency in IT and digital platforms relevant to recruitment activities is also required. Given the role’s requirement for international travel, applicants must hold a valid passport enabling travel throughout the MENA and Pakistan regions.
