**Faculty / Directorate**
The International Office at De Montfort University plays a crucial role in attracting students worldwide to DMU. It focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with prospective students, educational agents, sponsors, and global partner institutions. This office is integral to executing the university’s broader international strategy, which has facilitated the establishment of DMU branch campuses in the UAE, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, and the upcoming DMU London.
**Role**
We are looking for a proactive Regional Manager to join our international recruitment team. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to expanding DMU’s presence in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region by developing and implementing a regional recruitment strategy for the DMU Leicester campus.
In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will meet ambitious recruitment targets, positioning De Montfort University as a leader in higher education within global markets. Your focus will be on increasing the number of international students from this region by growing key target markets and leading the development and execution of marketing and recruitment activities to achieve strategic objectives.
As the Regional Manager, you will lead in establishing effective relationships with stakeholders in the region and support the broader internationalization goals of DMU. You will also oversee a small team based in Leicester. The role involves regular international travel and requires flexibility for frequent evening and weekend work.
**Ideal Candidate**
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the current dynamics in international higher education. Familiarity with the cultural nuances of the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region is beneficial but not mandatory.
You should be commercially savvy and mindful of the financial responsibilities inherent in student recruitment while prioritizing the interests of our international students. A proven track record in delivering international projects and effective marketing campaigns is desirable.
Innovation is central to our International Office, and the ability to solve problems and enhance existing processes, policies, and methods is crucial. You should be adept at using data analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
