**Faculty / Directorate**
The International Office at De Montfort University plays a crucial role in attracting international students to DMU. The office is instrumental in building relationships with prospective students, educational agents, sponsors, and partners globally. Moreover, it supports the university’s expansive international strategy, which has led to the establishment of DMU branch campuses in the UAE, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, and soon, DMU London.
**Role**
We are looking for a Regional Manager to join our international recruitment team. The successful candidate will develop and implement a regional recruitment strategy for the DMU Leicester campus, focusing on expanding DMU’s presence in the Sub-Sahara Africa region. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve ambitious recruitment objectives, positioning De Montfort University as a leader in global higher education markets. Your role will involve increasing international student enrollment from this region by targeting specific markets and leading marketing and recruitment activities to meet strategic goals. You will also be the main point of contact for stakeholder relationships within the region and support DMU’s broader international endeavors. Managing a small team based overseas and in Leicester, the role requires regular international travel and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
**Ideal Candidate**
The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of the international higher education landscape. Familiarity with the cultural nuances of the Sub-Sahara Africa region is beneficial but not required. You should have a commercial mindset and understand the financial responsibilities involved in student recruitment while prioritizing the welfare of our international students. A proven track record in delivering internationally-focused projects and successful marketing campaigns is essential. Innovation is a core value at the International Office, so we seek someone with strong problem-solving abilities and a talent for enhancing existing processes, policies, and methods. Experience in data analysis to guide strategic decision-making is also necessary.
