The University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) was established in September 2015, offering students the opportunity to receive a UK education in Malaysia. Located in EduCity, Iskandar, and in close proximity to Singapore, UoRM is seeking a capable individual to take on the role of Provost/CEO (ASEAN) and lead the campus to its next stage of development.

The Provost/CEO (ASEAN) will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the University of Reading Malaysia. This includes defining the institution’s vision and strategy, ensuring financial performance, maintaining academic standards, engaging with external stakeholders, planning and budgeting, developing business opportunities, managing marketing and student clients, and overseeing human resources. The successful candidate will be expected to drive strategic growth, leverage the unique qualities and cultural diversity of the ASEAN region, and promote innovation for the campus and academic activities.

The ideal candidate should have a proven record of leadership achievement in an academic context, along with extensive experience and knowledge of higher education in the ASEAN region. They should possess exceptional strategic leadership skills, the ability to inspire and motivate individuals across the organization, and a high level of credibility at both institutional and national/international levels. With the capacity to drive growth and adapt within a highly dynamic and international environment, the next Provost/CEO will have the opportunity to establish the University of Reading as a prominent institution in Malaysia, the ASEAN region, and beyond.
