#### Position Overview

**Program Director for Latin American Sisters Programs**

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is seeking a Program Director (PD) to oversee the Latin American Sisters Programs, aimed at supporting the initiation and completion of degrees for unique international student groups at the University. This role involves both theoretical and practical applications of specialized knowledge in Teaching and Education.

#### Key Responsibilities

– Lead the integration of Latin American Sisters’ programs into the university’s core academic, financial, and IT structures.
– Work with the Associate Dean of Health and Human Services to manage course schedules, faculty communications, and partnerships with organizations like Catholic Extension.
– Instruct up to three 8-week courses annually.
– Manage and improve program operations by monitoring goals, managing resources, and engaging with funding partners.
– Support department operations including data management, strategic planning, and budget oversight.
– Recommend enhancements to operations and policies to the Assistant Dean of Health and Human Services.
– Provide personalized support to students for seamless academic participation.
– Maintain communication and support for students between residency periods.
– Train faculty on best teaching practices for Spanish-speaking Sisters from Latin America.
– Collaborate across departments to ensure student success, offering translation and orientation services as required.
– The role includes 27.5% travel to the Minneapolis campus and 10% travel for brief domestic and international duties.

#### Requirements

– Master’s degree in Education or Teaching.
– Experience in instructional design and incorporating Catholic Studies into curricula.
– Proficiency in online pedagogy and technology-driven communication.
– Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
– Familiarity with Latin American culture.
– Collaborative experience with diverse groups.
– Understanding of the Catholic Church’s mission and cultural context in Latin America.
– Commitment to Catholic ministry with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
