Job Summary:
The Barnard Study Abroad office is offering the opportunity for a graduate student to function as an assistant during a study abroad project week in Vienna, March 10 – March 17, 2023 in connection with the advanced German language course Vienna Stories: Filming Identities and Voices.
Job Description:
Participation in all scheduled activities in Vienna, Interviews, meetings and
extracurricular activities, help with organization of extracurricular activities, e.g. concert, museums, etc., help and support in case of emergencies with regard to student’s unforeseen illness, hospitalization, rebooking of flight, quarantine, etc.
Salary: $2,000 Stipend
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants should have at least near native fluency in German, interest in Austrian and Viennese culture, very good communication skills, should be well versed in cultural differences and practical thinking skills.
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
