With over 70 years of experience, CIEE has provided thousands of individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a global and culturally diverse world. We offer comprehensive exchange programs that are highly valued and relevant to today’s interconnected society.

CIEE works with over 300 U.S. colleges and universities, operating sixty centers in over forty countries to support study abroad programs for approximately 10,000 students annually. As the largest sponsor of U.S. Department of State J-1 Visa programs, CIEE also facilitates around 25,000 international students’ participation in U.S.-based exchange programs every year. Our programs cover a wide range of areas, including study abroad, teach abroad, international faculty development seminars, and inbound exchange programs for high school and university students, professionals, and educators.

We are committed to leading the international program provider community through innovation, outstanding service, and efficiency. Our success depends on recruiting and retaining top professionals who are passionate about international education, self-starters with high energy levels, and dedicated to exceeding expectations.

The role of CIEE Program Assistant in Sydney involves supporting students studying and living in the city. Responsibilities include assisting with student activities and events, ensuring a quality student experience, and coordinating with the Student Life Office. This role may require occasional weekend and evening work, with primarily Monday to Friday business hours.

We are looking to fill three positions for 30-38 hours per week contracts from April to August 2024, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating student experiences, extensive knowledge of Sydney, and an interest in U.S. culture and study abroad. Strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a commitment to safety and well-being are essential.

Candidates should be able to work well within a complex institutional framework and maintain CIEE’s commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to grow and thrive. Each position will have a focus area, including internships, academics, student activities, and health safety and security. Applicants must indicate their preferred focus area in their Cover Letter, as applications without a cover letter will not be shortlisted
