As a member of the University Executive Team, the appointee will oversee key areas such as Academic Practice Enhancement, Academic Quality, Student Life, and Student Futures. Furthermore, they will take the lead on maintaining a strong relationship between the university and the students’ union.

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in educational reform and innovation, having successfully implemented whole institution changes. They must also demonstrate a deep commitment to enhancing students’ experiences, education, and outcomes, with a track record of significant achievements in these areas. The candidate should possess a genuine passion for using education as a tool for social mobility and be able to effectively communicate and lead colleagues in driving transformative change across the institution. Previous experience in supporting TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework) and Access and Participation plans, as well as developing academic quality and standards practices, will be highly advantageous.
