Based in Tasmania, Australia, Catholic Education Tasmania comprises 38 schools and colleges serving over 16,500 students. Operating under the Archbishop’s Charter for Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Tasmania is dedicated to the holistic development of individuals (intellectually, physically, morally, and spiritually) in line with the destiny Jesus Christ has prepared for each of us.

Catholic Education Tasmania is seeking qualified and experienced Catholic educational leaders to create an enhanced learning environment for all students and contribute to our strategic goal of becoming the most improved educational sector in Australia.

Guilford Young College, located in Hobart and Glenorchy, is the only Catholic Year 11 and Year 12 college in Tasmania, making it a unique institution in Tasmanian education.

While specific roles will involve the necessary educational leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate must also demonstrate the following:

• Active and regular participation in Sunday worship and sacramental life
• An explicit commitment to faith and a well-developed ability to advance the mission of the Catholic Church within the school and community
• Exceptional communication skills to establish and maintain positive relationships within the school, parish, and broader community
• A proven track record of nurturing excellence in teachers to enhance social and emotional well-being, student learning, and educational expectations
• Strong leadership presence, emotional intelligence, and self-efficacy to cultivate a faith-inspired educational environment where staff and students thrive
