**Background**
Situated within the Marketing & External Relations Department, the Student Recruitment and Marketing team orchestrates strategic marketing and recruitment initiatives for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This particular role is part of the Postgraduate and International Marketing team, with a focus on advancing the postgraduate portfolio of City St George’s both in the UK and abroad. The team’s main goal is to boost enquiries, applications, and enrolments to meet the University’s recruitment objectives.
**Responsibilities**
Your role involves establishing City St George’s as the premier choice for top-tier postgraduate candidates through strategic, data-driven, and creative marketing efforts. You will manage a variety of marketing strategies, including advertising, email marketing, CRM communications, market research, content creation, and the promotion of recruitment events, all aimed at supporting the recruitment of postgraduate and international students from enquiry through to enrolment. Additionally, you will oversee three marketing officers and work collaboratively with colleagues across the university to execute cohesive and impactful marketing campaigns.
**Person Specification**
The ideal candidate should possess experience in marketing and student recruitment within the Higher Education sector, with a deep understanding of the postgraduate recruitment cycle, market dynamics, and student journey. Expertise in digital marketing is vital, particularly in email marketing, content creation, and advertising. Experience in managing teams and projects and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders is essential. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with excellent copywriting and proofreading abilities.
