The ideal candidate should have higher education or industry experience and an ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including students and employers. Experience of teaching or working in the broad areas of computing, engineering or media would be an advantage. The role requires sensitivity to a diverse range of student needs and the ability to help students reflect on their learning and developmental process.
