About the Role:
We are hiring a Trade and Partnerships Manager – Education for a 12-month maternity leave role to lead initiatives enhancing our education strategy. Reporting to the Executive Director, Education, you’ll nurture relationships with educational institutions, government entities, and stakeholders to solidify the Gold Coast’s reputation as a leading study locale. Your role involves crafting and executing education trade programs, spearheading initiatives to attract international students, and fostering enduring partnerships. Key responsibilities include developing strategic collaborations, influencing policy, and steering impactful trade missions. International and national travel is required, and occasional evening or weekend work may arise.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, government bodies, and industry partners to drive engagement and advocacy.
- Lead international and domestic trade and membership events, such as trade missions, activations, and familiarization programs.
- Design and implement high-impact education trade programs aligned with marketing efforts to attract international students.
- Conduct research to identify funding opportunities and provide strategic insights for developing long-term strategies that promote industry growth.
- Lead and mentor the Education Trade and Partnerships team, ensuring collaboration and alignment across departments.
What You’ll Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Education, or related field.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, international relations, or education trade programs.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple initiatives.
- Strong expertise in government relations and understanding of educational policies and compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a dedication to intercultural engagement.
- Experience in coordinating offshore and international events is highly desirable.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
