Position Overview:
Purdue University Northwest is seeking applicants for Part-Time International Support in our Admissions and Recruitment department. This temporary role involves assisting with immigration and related services for international students, exchange visitors, and employment-based visa holders. You will report to the Director of International Admissions and Immigration Services.
Pay Range:
$15 – $20 per hour
Working Hours:
15 – 20 hours per week during regular business hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver services related to international students and scholars to ensure compliance with federal regulations governing immigration and visa status.
- Support international admissions through data-entry, application management, credential evaluations, etc., as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: At least one year in a university office setting or immigration law firm, with experience in serving international students in the United States.
- Familiarity with SEVIS and immigration regulations is highly preferred.
- Experience with Slate, Banner Student Information System, and Sunapsis is desirable.
- Core Competencies: Experience as a Designated School Officer (DSO).
