Currently, FIU is seeking applications for an Open-Rank Tenure Track Faculty Position in Human Neuroimaging, specifically focusing on Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The ideal candidate will have an active research program that aligns with the mission of the FIU Center for Imaging Science. The center is a multidisciplinary research unit that delves into understanding neural mechanisms related to brain development, adaptation, learning, and disease response. With a 3T Siemens Prisma MRI scanner, the center expands the scope of health-related research at FIU and offers collaborative opportunities with other notable research centers such as the Center for Children and Families, the Center for Research on U.S. Latino HIV/AIDs and Drug Abuse (CRUSADA), the Research Center in Minority Institutions, the Brain, Behavior and the Environment Program, and the Institute of Environment.
Aspiring candidates must possess a Ph.D. and/or an MD with postdoctoral training, demonstrating evidence of or great potential for securing extramural funding and showcasing a strong track record of scholarship in esteemed journals. For mid-rank and senior candidates, a Ph.D. and/or an MD are necessary, along with a notable publication record and substantial active grant funding. The academic appointment will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, potentially in FIU’s College of Arts, Sciences & Education, the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, or the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
