### Open Rank Tenure-Track Faculty in School Psychology

#### Position Description

The Department of Counseling, Recreation, and School Psychology (CRSP) within FIU invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, open rank tenure-track faculty position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in School Psychology, with a start date in the Fall semester of 2025.

#### Required Qualifications:

– A Ph.D. in School Psychology or a closely related field from a NASP-approved and/or APA-accredited program, completed on or before August 1, 2025.
– A proven track record or potential for excellence in scholarly activities, such as publications, presentations, and/or external grant funding, appropriate to the faculty rank.

#### Preferred Qualifications:

– Eligibility for licensure or current licensure as a psychologist and/or certification as a school psychologist in Florida.
– A successful history of teaching at the university level.
– Active engagement and service within the School Psychology profession.

#### Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a robust research and scholarship agenda by leading research projects, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at conferences, obtaining external funding, and fostering collaborative research efforts that bolster FIU’s standing within the discipline’s Top 50 rankings. Faculty are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various formats, advise and mentor graduate students, and participate in service activities across department, institutional, and professional levels. Typical faculty workload comprises 45% research, 45% teaching, and 10% service annually. The role also involves contributing to the development of a Ph.D. program in School Psychology.

#### About the FIU School Psychology Program:

The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) program in School Psychology, established in 1972, includes four full-time faculty members and holds full approval from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). It is housed within the College of Arts, Sciences & Education (CASE) and the School of Education and Human Development (SEHD).
