**Open Rank (Assistant or Associate) Professor in Educational Leadership**

The Department of Educational Policy Studies within the College of Arts, Sciences & Education (CASE) at FIU is seeking applications for an Open Rank (Assistant or Associate) Professor position, commencing in Fall 2025. This is a 9-month, tenure-track role.

FIU is looking for established scholars as well as early-career researchers with an active research agenda focused on K-12 leadership in urban settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative and innovative spirit, enhancing the department’s current faculty expertise and supporting CASE’s mission to address societal challenges through effective community engagement.

**Qualifications:**
– Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or a related field
– Active research agenda and publication record in urban educational leadership and/or administration
– Proven experience with grant and external funding procurement
– Demonstrated collaboration with public K-12 school districts

**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Experience with programmatic leadership
– A non-traditional educational and/or experiential pathway to urban K-12 leadership

**Responsibilities:**
– Teaching graduate-level courses in educational leadership
– Supervising master’s and doctoral students
– Serving on and chairing dissertation and theses committees
– Guiding program development
– Participating in the procurement of external grants
– Maintaining a robust scholarship agenda commensurate with a tenure-track position at an R1 institution

The program offers the MS, EdS, and EdD in Educational Leadership, with a particular emphasis on preparing graduates for cross-cultural relationship building, especially in urban settings. Women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
