Marketing & Student Recruitment Specialist for CRICOS RTO in Sydney
King’s School of Culinary Arts is a CRICOS registered vocational education provider in Sydney that offers high-quality education to international students. We have campuses in Rhodes and Sydney CBD.
About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing & Student Recruitment Specialist to join our mission of providing industry-driven vocational education and training (VET) courses in Sydney. This position can be full-time, part-time, or contract-based.
Reporting to the CEO, this role will focus on establishing and expanding our network in the international student market, with a particular focus on South-East Asia, Korea, India, Nepal, and China. Your responsibilities will include liaising with agents to promote our college and achieve student recruitment and enrollment targets.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing student recruitment strategies for both onshore and offshore markets.
- Building and maintaining a wide network with onshore and offshore education agents, partners, and pathway providers.
- Appointing new international education agents and managing the existing network.
- Regular market visits to manage agent relationships.
- Managing agent contracts and agreements, storing them in an internal database.
- Organizing student recruitment activities, advertising, and events, including info sessions and education expos.
- Managing promotional and marketing materials via social media.
- Ensuring compliance with RTO standards and updating marketing materials accordingly.
- Working closely with the CEO on business development and growth strategies.
- Responding to agent and student inquiries.
- Developing proposals for University Pathways programs or ELICOS pathways.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for candidates with:
- A sound understanding of international student recruitment practices and established connections with education agents.
- Demonstrated sales and marketing experience (at least 2 years) in the international education market, preferably in VET and CRICOS, and preferably with a focus on Hospitality Management and Cookery courses.
- Excellent knowledge of the Australian education system, ESOS Act, the National Code, and Student Visa regulations.
- The ability to achieve targets and work under pressure, with a track record of successful sales results.
- Self-direction and the ability to operate with urgency, focus, discipline, and minimal supervision.
- Willingness to undertake international travel as required.
- High computer literacy, including proficiency in Campaign Monitor, Google Analytics, Adobe, WordPress, and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to assist in producing marketing materials and advertising.
- A degree in Business or Marketing is advantageous but not essential.
- The ability to work with students of various age groups and backgrounds.
- Highly effective negotiation, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strategic alliances with stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability in servicing the needs of diverse markets.
- Fluency in English and at least one other language, preferably Thai, Mandarin, Korean, or Vietnamese.
