Salary package: Approximately $126,000 per year, including 17% superannuation.
Work schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week, with on-site working environment.
The Organization:
Our client is a highly regarded community organization that provides information and represents the interests of a youth-oriented community group. They organize student engagement events and activities and support 160 affiliated student groups.
The Role:
Reporting to the CEO, this newly created position involves managing the Student Engagement Team to implement and execute the organization’s student engagement functions. The responsibilities include:
– Overseeing strategic communication and building stakeholder partnerships to improve student engagement success.
– Ensuring the success of orientation programs twice a year and developing partnerships.
– Evaluating the functions of the student engagement staff team and providing comprehensive reports to the CEO.
– Documenting and evaluating all events according to project management guidelines and reporting policies.
– Developing and implementing engagement strategies and plans aligned with the organization’s strategic plan, objectives, and initiatives.
– Collaborating with elected student representatives and graduate students to gather and implement ideas and recommendations.
The Person:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
– A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably in community development or a related field.
– A minimum of 4 years of management experience in the higher education or community sector.
– Senior leadership skills gained in a similar organization.
– Experience in departmental-level budget management.
– Experience leading community engagement and social marketing campaigns for community awareness and behavior change.
– The ability to provide direction, supervision, leadership, and support to staff in student engagement teams.
– Experience in strategic and operational planning and the ability to implement strategies at an operational level.
The Offer:
This is a full-time role that offers an attractive salary package of approximately $126,000 per year, including superannuation. The role also includes generous benefits such as 25 days of annual leave, 15 days of sick leave, 10 days of mental health leave, and 1 rostered day off per month.
