OVERVIEW The Director of Internationalization Initiatives is a senior professional role within the Office of Global Engagement at Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position plays a central role in advancing the university’s global profile through coordination, assessment, and strategic management of international activities. Reporting to the Senior International Officer, the Director works closely with campus leadership, faculty, and partners to strengthen LSU’s international engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage and advance global partnership agreements to support the university’s international strategy – Develop, monitor, and maintain international agreements with institutional partners – Coordinate faculty and student exchange activities – Support study abroad partnerships and related international mobility initiatives – Lead campus-wide global engagement and internationalization initiatives – Manage assessment activities related to international education and internationalization efforts – Oversee data related to global mobility and international engagement – Collaborate with senior leadership and campus partners on international initiatives – Supervise one coordinator within the Office of Global Engagement REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Internationalization has become a core priority for universities seeking to prepare students and faculty for an interconnected world.
