The purpose of this role is to support Oxford Brookes Business School (OBBS) in expanding its global presence and promoting its reputation as an international university. The role involves managing global partnerships with other institutions, ensuring their success and minimizing risks for the university. The aim is to provide diverse opportunities for international students to enroll in OBBS programs, both on campus and through partnerships abroad.
Working closely with the Head of UK and International Partnerships, the role requires effective management of institutional global partnerships. This includes maintaining successful partnerships, enhancing the student experience, and ensuring a high-quality education for all Transnational Education (TNE) students. The role also contributes to the long-term stability of global partnerships, supporting the university’s efforts to improve the effectiveness of partnerships at both faculty and institutional levels.
The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues internally and externally, working across various levels and contributing to the overall improvement of OBBS’s global profile. This role requires initiative, problem-solving skills within international contexts, and the ability to work across different curriculum areas and liaise with academic colleagues.
The requirements for this role include a master’s degree or significant relevant experience, experience in working on and validating/revalidating academic programs, experience with global partnerships in program delivery, awareness of transnational education trends, familiarity with UK Higher Education regulations, successful relationship management in diverse cultural contexts, experience in liaising with faculty and university colleagues, ability to chair and participate in senior university meetings, problem-solving skills in an international context, budget management, evidence of income generation experience, willingness to travel internationally, and flexibility with out-of-hours work due to time zone differences.
