The Department of Social and Policy Sciences is seeking a Lecturer in International Development.

About the role

International Development at the University of Bath has an excellent reputation in the UK and internationally, evidenced in its research contributions to the international scholarly community, its research impact through professional and public engagement, its strong pool of postgraduate researchers, and its innovative teaching portfolio.

International Development academics at Bath study the most important challenges facing our changing world including (but not limited to) climate change, conflict, migration, and poverty and advocate multi- and inter-disciplinary approaches to identify solutions to these challenges.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.

About you

You will be expected to make a significant contribution to our expertise in International Development research and teaching. We welcome applications from any candidate who can consolidate and extend our research strengths in any sub-field of International Development.

The Department for Social & Policy Sciences is one of the UK’s leading centres for social science research and teaching excellence, committed to interdisciplinary and impactful research. Our academic staff represent a range of disciplinary backgrounds, including social and public policy, sociology, social work, international development, and criminology.
