**Role Overview**
As the Lead International Student Compliance Officer, you’ll be pivotal in supporting compliance needs for our UK and Germany campuses. This essential role requires ensuring alignment with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations, along with adherence to both internal and external policies. Responsibilities include managing student visa issues, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and spearheading audit preparations to uphold high compliance standards.
**Your Responsibilities:**
– Act as the main contact for external agencies and immigration authorities.
– Keep current with UK immigration laws (UKVI, UKCISA) and gain familiarity with German immigration procedures.
– Manage sponsor license duties, including reporting obligations, CAS allocations, and Basic Compliance Assessment (BCA).
– Handle student visa matters, such as extensions, documentation, and necessary reports to UKVI and relevant agencies.
– Monitor the attendance and engagement of student visa holders to ensure compliance.
– Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external partners, offering advice and ensuring immigration regulations are followed.
– Lead preparations for audits, internal assessments, and regulatory inspections, ensuring correct implementation of all processes and policies.
– Assist local teams in the UK and Germany to ensure adherence to immigration and regulatory standards.
– Report immigration and compliance concerns to the Head of International Student Compliance.
**Your Qualifications:**
– A degree-level qualification.
– Extensive knowledge of the UK immigration system, with expertise in handling complex processes.
– Familiarity with German immigration systems or a willingness to learn.
– Proven experience in advising international students effectively.
– Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and collaborate efficiently.
– Experience in leading audit preparations and managing regulatory inspections.
– Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
