OVERVIEW This is a senior leadership opportunity to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Bristol University Press, including its award-winning Policy Press imprint. Based within a leading university in Bristol, the role focuses on guiding the Press through its next phase of strategic development. The position combines executive leadership with a strong external profile, representing BUP nationally and internationally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide strategic leadership for Bristol University Press and its imprints – Lead the Press through its next phase of development – Ensure financial sustainability of the organisation – Maintain excellence in scholarly publishing – Lead organisational development – Represent the Press and the University globally REQUIREMENTS – WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS University presses play a critical role in advancing scholarship, public policy, and global knowledge exchange. As chief executive, this role directly influences how an award-winning press supports academic communities and policy impact. Strong strategic leadership ensures that BUP continues to thrive in a rapidly changing publishing environment.
