Job Summary
As an IT Manager IV at Texas A&M International University, you’ll be at the forefront of managing large and complex IT projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead multi-disciplined teams and perform specialized technical duties essential to our university’s success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of senior technical staff, promoting ethical, regulatory, and performance standards.
- Recruit and supervise staff for large-scale project teams, ensuring adherence to performance standards and managing personnel issues effectively.
- Oversee the planning and execution of substantial IT projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Implement and refine processes and metrics for supporting large-scale IT services, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Engage in training and professional development opportunities, particularly in leadership, management, and industry trends.
Minimum Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Experience: At least ten years of IT-related experience, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory role.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, project management, team leadership, strategic planning, and IT security regulations.
- Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and excel in written communication, analysis, and interpersonal skills.
