**Job Description:**
**Position Summary:**
The Intervention Specialist operates under general supervision to support students at risk due to academic probation or suspension. The role involves proactive advising, including regular communication, discussions about academic progress, performance monitoring, and degree planning. Additionally, the position requires offering holistic support by identifying external challenges affecting student success, connecting students with campus and community resources, and facilitating academic, personal, and career development opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Collaborate with Academic Success Coaches to assist students with course registration, advising, add/drop processes, prerequisite checks, class availability, and reviewing academic standing.
– Guide students through the Academic Reinstatement Appeal process.
– Conduct assessments, review results with students and staff, and track progress of at-risk students.
– Develop and implement new or revised strategies to enhance student retention.
– Respond to early alerts from faculty/staff and assist students in setting and achieving success goals.
– Serve as a liaison to academic support services and various student affairs offices, including tutoring, library services, Counseling, Student Disability Services, Career Services, and Financial Aid.
– Utilize data-driven methods for outreach, resource referrals, and academic interventions.
– Maintain confidential student records and program data, and document advising notes and other academic interventions.

**Minimum Requirements:**
**Education:**
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
**Experience:**
– Three years of relevant experience.
**Skills and Abilities:**
– Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
– Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
– Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with others.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Salary:** $19.06 per hour
