We are looking to hire an International Student Support Officer.

The successful candidate should have a degree or equivalent professional experience and will assist the International Student Support Manager with the daily operations of the International Student Support Service. The role involves leading integration and social programs for international students, providing immigration advice, and ensuring that international students and their families have access to welfare and advice services that meet high standards prior to their arrival and during their studies at Bangor University.

The International Student Support Service is part of Student Support & Wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking career development while making a positive impact on students’ university experience.

The position is available until 30/06/2024, and the successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible.

Fluency in Welsh is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant professional experience and will support the International Student Support Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the International Student Support Service. The role involves leading on the integration and social programme for international students, providing an immigration advice service, and ensuring international students and their families have access to high-quality welfare and advice services, both prior to their arrival and whilst studying at Bangor University.

The International Student Support Service is part of Student Support & Wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career while making a difference to students’ experience of University on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as reasonably possible, and the post is available until 30/06/2024.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work-life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
