Position Overview:
As an International Student Services Advisor, you’ll act as the Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), reporting to the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and/or Responsible Officer (RO). The role involves managing immigration documentation via SEVIS and the ISSM database, ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws, and advising students and faculty on visas and related services.
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and have at least three years of professional experience in international student services or a related field. A strong working knowledge of F-1 and J-1 visas is essential. Ideal candidates will also have lived or studied abroad and hold current DSO and ARO designations.
