The International Student Recruiter is a staff position within the Department of Global Engagement at the College of Lake County (CLC). Under the supervision of the Director of Global Engagement, the International Student Recruiter is responsible for conducting activities related to the recruitment and admission of international students. They also provide support services to prospective international students and college partners.
The International Student Recruiter will assist in developing and executing a comprehensive recruitment strategy and marketing plan for international student recruitment, admissions, and marketing outreach. They will also serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) to produce non-immigrant I-20 documentation for students to obtain F1 visas. The International Student Recruiter plays an active role in the College’s internationalization efforts and is dedicated to achieving the College’s strategic goals and objectives for international student recruitment.

To qualify for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience in recruitment, admissions, student development, or student affairs at a college or university. Academic background related to international studies or foreign languages, as well as study abroad and cross-cultural experience, is desired. Experience with students from diverse backgrounds and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English are also preferred.
