International Student Adviser at Aston University

We are seeking to hire an experienced International Student Adviser to join our International Advice Team. The chosen candidate will become a part of our established team, offering advice, support, and guidance to international students, primarily focusing on providing immigration-related advice.

This role involves a diverse range of duties and responsibilities, demanding comprehensive knowledge of UK Home Office Immigration Regulations within a Higher Education setting. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant immigration advice to students and their dependants, addressing student queries, managing a caseload, and collaborating with team members to enhance the International Advice Team’s operations and progress.

To excel in this multifaceted role, you must have a strong grasp of UK Home Office Regulations and the ability to effectively advise and assist students. A degree or equivalent qualification is required, along with excellent organizational skills to manage your caseload, meet various deadlines, and contribute to the International Advice Team’s smooth functioning throughout the year.

This position requires satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The salary for this role does not meet the minimum threshold for sponsoring new applicants under the Skilled Worker route. However, Aston University might offer sponsorship to successful candidates who meet the following criteria:

– Are under 25 years old
– Have held a Student or Graduate visa in the last two years
– Are currently in the UK with a Tier 2 or Skilled Worker visa
