The International Recruitment and Conversion team within the International Office is seeking an International Stakeholder Manager for a 24-month fixed-term contract.

**About the Department:**
The International Office handles the recruitment and support of international students, fosters overseas partnerships, and manages student mobility programs. It plays a key role in promoting the internationalisation of the University, ensuring Manchester Metropolitan University maintains and strengthens its global standing.

**About the Role:**
Under the guidance of the Head of International Student Recruitment & Conversion, you will bring extensive experience and skills in stakeholder and sponsor management, reporting, and business development. As the International Stakeholder Manager, your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting in the execution of the Internationalisation Strategy and enhancing the University’s international reputation by managing various international recruitment stakeholders, including sponsors, to support international student recruitment.
– Working flexibly to lead and carry out activities across the broader team, aiding in the operational execution of international recruitment and conversion efforts.
– Supporting the attainment of student recruitment KPIs and meeting ambitious performance targets, as outlined in the University’s Road to 2030 and Internationalisation Strategy.
– Delivering a professional and responsive customer service to external sponsor networks, which could involve Embassies, Cultural, Military, or Education Attaché Offices in the UK and overseas, as well as relevant corporate sponsors.
– Establishing working relationships with Faculty PVCs, Faculty Heads of International, and departmental international leads to develop a comprehensive understanding of international sponsorship as a recruitment tool and its potential to maximise opportunities using reliable data.
– Assisting in managing the University’s international education advisers, maintaining up-to-date databases of key contact information, supporting the annual review of education advisers, and ensuring relevant contracts are current and suitable.
– Leading a team of temporary staff, such as Student Ambassadors, when necessary.

**About You:**
With a background in international education and student recruitment, preferably within a UK Higher Education context, you will:

– Have a successful track record, especially in building relationships and establishing networks with stakeholders.
– Exhibit strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and an ability to devise and implement innovative solutions.
– Communicate your ideas with tact and diplomacy.
– Demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse cultures.
– Be prepared to travel internationally on behalf of the University for up to four weeks per year.
