**Job Summary:**
The International Division at the University of Wisconsin-Madison serves as the primary facilitator and leader for global-focused initiatives and engagements across the campus. It offers support to international faculty, staff, and students, and organizes academic programs, internships, research activities, and partnerships abroad. As a vital resource for both the campus and the wider Madison community, the division helps solidify the university’s reputation as a prominent global institution, ensuring that students are well-prepared for a diverse and interconnected world.
This role reports to the Assistant Dean of International Strategy & Partnerships and collaborates with the International Relations Manager to enhance both international and domestic partnerships.
**Responsibilities:**
– Plan and deliver outreach program activities to strengthen partnerships, ensure policy compliance, and aid in program administration, fostering robust and productive relationships between the university and the local community.
– Expand and ensure inclusive access to programs, facilities, and educational services for diverse audiences.
– Assist in tracking and managing the outreach program budget.
**Key Responsibilities include:**
– 30% Identifying, promoting, and sustaining external partnerships for outreach support.
– 20% Organizing and procuring resources, and managing logistics for outreach initiatives.
– 15% Delivering outreach content and materials to community members.
– 10% Researching, developing, and facilitating outreach content.
– 10% Designing and evaluating curriculum and programs, recommending enhancements.
– 5% Leading program implementation, overseeing daily activities of staff, students, and community volunteers.
– 10% Other assigned duties.
**Tasks:**
– Provide support to university units in developing international collaborations and programs.
– Facilitate effective international partnership agreements in alignment with university policies.
– Assist faculty and staff in executing collaborative projects, representing university interests internationally.
– Act as the main contact for community-based partnerships engaging with the International Division.
– Manage itineraries and logistics for international delegations and visits, ensuring adherence to protocol and cultural practices.
– Prepare briefing notes for senior leaders to provide visitors with a favorable experience.
– Connect global partners or community organizations to campus units.
– Create opportunities for faculty and staff to engage in international opportunities through events and discussions.
– Collaborate with External Relations and International Division staff to build documented partnerships.
– Generate and distribute briefing materials and analyze trends to inform partnership strategies.
– Evaluate partnerships annually and recommend changes as needed.
– Maintain accurate records using internal processes.

**Education and Qualifications:**
– **Preferred Education:** Bachelor’s degree.
– **Required Skills:** Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, scheduling experience, attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to edit content, and relational database skills.
– **Preferred Skills:** Experience drafting legal or policy documents, managing logistics, foreign language proficiency.
– **Required Experience:** Background in global affairs, international engagement, analysis of complex information, cultural protocol adherence, and familiarity with higher education institutions.
– **Preferred Experience:** Experience in international contract negotiation, project management, grant writing, and working with international visitors.
**Knowledge Requirements:**
– **Required:** Effective communication and teamwork skills, knowledge of international education trends, and familiarity with global higher education systems.
– **Preferred:** Understanding UW-Madison policies, cultural competencies, etiquette, and protocol.
**Work Type:**
Full-time, with some duties requiring on-campus presence, while other responsibilities may allow remote work.
