King's College London

### About Us

The Research Governance, Ethics, Integrity & Culture team is a crucial part of the Research Management and Innovation Directorate at King’s College London. Dedicated to providing comprehensive professional support, our commitment lies in facilitating the responsible and ethical conduct of research. We aim to uphold a standard of excellence in research that is safe, lawful, and conducted with the utmost integrity and rigor.

### About the Role

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to become the International Regulations Manager at King’s College London within the Research Management and Innovation division. This dynamic and multifaceted role involves collaboration across the institution, working closely with academics from various disciplines, other professional service teams, and partners in the wider sector.

Given that international collaboration is integral to King’s College London’s research efforts, this role ensures all activities are conducted with the highest integrity and compliance with regulations such as the Export Control Act 2002 and the National Security and Investment Act 2021. The International Regulations Manager will work alongside researchers and staff to identify and mitigate risks associated with international collaborations—including reputational, operational, regulatory, and security concerns—and manage systems and policies that ensure compliance with UK and international standards.

As the leading expert on export control within the institution, the successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of UK export control regulations, guide the license application process, and assist key departments in managing associated risks. The role also involves contributing to the development of Trusted Research policies to meet the NPSA requirements. A significant aspect of the role is policy development and management, as well as establishing networks with key stakeholders both in academia and professional services at a senior level.

This full-time position, based at our Lavington Street campus when office work is required, adheres to the university’s hybrid working model. No direct line management responsibilities are associated with this role. The position is on a permanent contract and involves working 35 hours per week.
