Job Title: International Recruitment Manager (IRM)
Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Contract Type: Permanent

The University of Glasgow, with its rich history of over 572 years, has made a significant impact in changing the world. Ranked among the top 100 universities globally and 13th in the Times Higher Education World Impact Rankings 2023, we take pride in being one of the best universities not only in the United Kingdom but also for the world. Our legacy of innovation inspires our present generation of world changers.

As an International Recruitment Manager (IRM), you will collaborate directly with the Deputy Director, Recruitment & International Relations (DDRAIR) to meet the University’s International Recruitment strategy and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and institutional and College targets.

Your responsibilities will include leading the strategic development and operational management of promotional activities, student recruitment, and conversion activities in your assigned region. You will also have line management responsibility for the in-country officer(s) in that region.

In addition, you will play a pivotal role in welcoming and planning senior delegations from the region, working closely with the Dean of Global Engagement to address the specific needs of the University. This will require engaging with government agencies and sponsors at a high level.

Furthermore, you will lead the partnership with Kaplan International Pathways, working in collaboration with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of External Engagement, the Director of Recruitment & International Relations, and senior staff from all four Colleges. Your role will involve developing and executing the International Recruitment Strategy for Glasgow International College (GIC) and managing the relationship between the University, External Relations, and Kaplan/GIC.

The IRM position contributes to the achievement of the University’s internationalization strategic objectives. You will conduct market intelligence for your region, identifying future trends, new product development opportunities, and sector-wide trends. Additionally, you will collaborate with other IRMs on joint projects and may deputize for the Deputy Director of Recruitment & International Relations when required.

Please note that this role may involve engaging with different international markets as needed.
