Job Overview: International Student Recruitment and Conversion Manager

This role focuses on managing enquiries from prospective international students and implementing strategies to encourage them to choose the University for their studies. Reporting to the International Marketing and Conversion Manager, the role plays a central part in helping the university meet its global recruitment goals.

Your duties will include:

  1. Enquiry and Conversion Management: You’ll handle international enquiries for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, working on initiatives to convert these leads into applications and ultimately enrolled students.
  1. CRM Systems and Communication Delivery: As a critical part of the role, you’ll use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to deliver personalized, multichannel communications to prospective students. These communications will be designed to guide students through every stage of their journey, from initial enquiry to enrollment.
  1. Policy and Strategy Input: You’ll help shape policies and procedures that support international student recruitment, as well as contribute to the broader marketing, admissions, and event efforts of the International Team.

This is a role deeply rooted in international higher education marketing, so experience in delivering multichannel recruitment strategies across diverse cultural contexts is essential. Flexibility is crucial, as evening and weekend work, as well as collaborative engagement across various operational functions, will be part of the job.

This knowledge will demonstrate your ability to navigate the unique challenges of recruiting international students. However, don’t forget to emphasize your cultural awareness and ability to work across various regions and with students of diverse backgrounds.
  1. Highlight Flexibility and Teamwork: The role requires adaptability to contribute across multiple teams and functions while balancing evening or weekend work when necessary. Use examples of how you’ve been flexible or demonstrated strong teamwork in cross-functional or fast-paced environments to show you’re a good fit culturally and operationally.
