University of Glasgow

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with no fixed end date, providing permanent employment. Relocation assistance will be provided where necessary.

The University of Glasgow has a rich history of over 572 years and has made significant contributions to the world. We are currently ranked among the top 100 universities globally and hold the 13th position in the Times Higher Education World Impact Rankings 2023. This demonstrates our commitment not only to being one of the best universities in the United Kingdom but also to being one of the best universities for the world. Our legacy of innovation continues to inspire our current generation of world changers.

As an International Recruitment Manager (IRM), you will work closely with the Deputy Director, Recruitment & International Relations (DDRAIR) to meet the University’s targets for international recruitment and our key performance indicators (KPIs). Your responsibilities include leading the strategic development and operational management of promotional activities and student recruitment in your assigned region. You will also be responsible for overseeing the in-country officer(s) for that region.

This role involves welcoming and planning for senior delegations from the region, collaborating with the Dean of Global Engagement to address the specific needs of the University. It requires engaging with government agencies and sponsors at a high level.

Additionally, you will play a key role in the partnership with Kaplan International Pathways. This involves working with senior staff across all four Colleges, the Deputy Vice Chancellor External Engagement, and the Director of Recruitment & International Relations. You will develop and implement an International Recruitment Strategy for Glasgow International College (GIC) and manage the relationship between the University, External Relations, and Kaplan/Glasgow International College (GIC).

The IRM position is critical to achieving our institutional internationalization strategic objectives. You will conduct market research for the region, identifying future trends, opportunities for new product development, and sector-wide trends. Collaboration with fellow IRMs on joint projects and acting as a substitute for the Deputy Director of Recruitment & International Relations when necessary are also part of the role.

Note that this position may involve engaging with different international markets if required.
