**Position Overview: International Programs Manager**

**Salary Range:** $55,000 – $65,000

**Contract Type:** Annual, Fixed-Term Renewable
**Role Summary:**
The International Programs Manager acts as the project leader for the development, execution, and risk management of group study abroad programs offered by the Honors College and the College of Nursing. This position oversees, promotes, and provides guidance for study abroad opportunities through the Hessen/Wisconsin Exchange (HWX) and other non-sponsored programs. The manager reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Faculty & Academic Staff Affairs and works collaboratively across departments to enhance service delivery efficiencies. **Key Responsibilities:**
– Lead the creation and execution of group study abroad programs.
– Enhance awareness, participation, and advisement on independent study abroad opportunities through both sponsored and non-sponsored initiatives.
– Ensure effective risk management strategies and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
– Oversee all financial operations related to the office and its programs.
– Provide advisement on international opportunities to students.
– Support students and external partners in international experiences and cultural adaptation, following established guidelines.
– Contribute to the development of new international program initiatives.
– Collaborate with internal and external partners on program development and enhancements.
– Design, plan, and implement international educational programming.
– Possibly supervise staff members.
**Required Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s Degree
– Demonstrated advanced intercultural competence
– Experience in supporting study abroad, international exchange, or similar programs for U.S.-based individuals
– Strong project management, Travel Risk Management, and compliance experience
– Effective leadership and change management skills
– Proven ability to interact and collaborate successfully with diverse groups, including non-native English speakers
– Supervisory experience
– Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and MS Teams
– A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Master’s Degree
– Expertise in managing and customizing a commercial Travel Management System
– Experience in international financial management
– Experience with international contract negotiation and maintenance
– Experience or insight into living or working abroad
– A valid passport and the ability to meet international travel requirements
