**Position Summary:**
The International Programs Manager plays a key role in developing and managing education abroad programs. Responsibilities include advising students, supporting faculty with program development, and planning promotional and outreach activities both on campus and in the community. The manager is part of the Office of International Education and Engagement (IEE) and supports all international education initiatives at UWL. This position reports to the Director of International Education.

**Required Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
– Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a focus on presentation
– Strong intercultural and interpersonal communication skills
– Demonstrated organizational, administrative, and computer proficiency
– Experience abroad (working, living, or studying)
– Knowledge of education abroad best practices
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Master’s degree
– Experience in an international education office, preferably education abroad
– Familiarity with study abroad and student management software
– Knowledge of third-party study abroad provider programs
– Flexibility, positive attitude, adaptability, resourcefulness, and persistence
– Proven problem-solving, confidentiality maintenance, and the ability to thrive under pressure
– Ability to effectively lead and work within a diverse campus community
– Capacity to work independently and as part of a team towards international education goals

**Description:**
The Academic Affairs Division at UWL ensures the academic quality of the institution, administering programs through the Colleges of Business Administration, Arts, Social Sciences & Humanities, Science and Health, and Education. It supports students and faculty in the pursuit of educational excellence and scholarly activities.
**Duties/Responsibilities:**
1. **Program Development:**
– Develop and manage international faculty-led programs in collaboration with faculty and staff.
– Assist in budgeting, promoting, and reviewing programs.
– Work with financial specialists and partners on program accounts.
2. **Education Abroad Advising:**
– Advise students on study abroad opportunities and procedures.
– Provide guidance on cultural adjustment, health, safety, and required travel documentation.
3. **Programming:**
– Coordinate events like Education Abroad Fairs and UWL presentations.
– Support campus internationalization initiatives.
4. **Administrative Tasks:**
– Maintain the study abroad website and collaborate on program logistics with international partners.
– Support the development and evaluation of international experiences.
5. **Additional Responsibilities:**
– Assist in organizing education abroad events and hosting international delegations.
