The Role
This position focuses on managing strategic international partnerships through the International Engagement Office (IEO), an essential part of the Vice-President (Global) portfolio. The role is pivotal to the university’s engagement with global stakeholders, including universities, governments, and research funding bodies, as well as internal academic and administrative departments. The successful candidate will oversee dynamic education and research collaborations, ensuring the university builds meaningful and impactful relationships with partners around the world.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with international stakeholders and coordinating high-level visits that foster institutional ties.
- Managing academic collaborations globally, including dual degrees and progression arrangements that enhance international education opportunities for students.
- Administering funding streams that support international research, student mobility, and collaboration grants, driving impactful academic outcomes.
- Overseeing the secretariat for the University Global Partnership Network (UGPN), liaising with partner universities such as North Carolina State University and the University of São Paulo.
- Advising on partnership opportunities to align with the university’s strategic goals in education, research, international recruitment, and reputation enhancement.
