Job Role and Responsibilities:
Manchester Metropolitan University is actively seeking an International Partnerships Manager to play a crucial role in advancing the university’s ambitious Internationalisation Strategy. This role is based at the Manchester All Saints Campus and requires a full-time commitment of 37 hours per week. As an International Partnerships Manager, you will be instrumental in the development and maintenance of strategic international collaborations, which include but are not limited to Transnational Education ventures, student recruitment initiatives, and formal agreements with external organizations. With Manchester Metropolitan University’s recent success in international collaboration, including a notable Joint Education Institute in China, your efforts will help further these achievements.
In this position, you will engage with various stakeholders such as university senior leadership, faculty heads, government entities, and international diplomatic missions. Your presence will also be required at overseas events and stakeholder meetings, aiming to establish new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
About the Team:
You will be joining a small yet dynamic team within the International Partnerships Team, which operates under the International Office and forms part of the broader External Relations Directorate. This cohesive group includes the Head of International Partnerships, a Deputy Head, International Partnerships Managers, and Administrators, with additional ties to team members based in Wuhan and Kuala Lumpur.
Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates for this role should possess:
- Significant experience in business development with a focus on international or transnational education.
- Proven expertise in creating and implementing marketing and operational plans within an educational or service-oriented context.
- Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds.
- The capability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations to guide strategic decisions.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as business needs dictate.
