### Job Overview

**Fixed Term: Up to 12 months or until the return of the post holder, whichever occurs first**

**Interview Date: Thursday, 10 October 2024**

We are looking for an organized and motivated individual to join our busy International Recruitment team within the department of Global Engagement. In this pivotal role, you will be involved in all aspects of recruiting and admitting international students. Your role will require you to collaborate with key internal stakeholders and external entities such as ministries, embassies, the British Council, UKVI, and other higher education providers both in the UK and internationally.

**Responsibilities:**

– Achieving international student recruitment and revenue targets.
– Developing, managing, and monitoring the network of overseas representatives in a specific region.
– Representing the University at local and international exhibitions, fairs, seminars, and school/institution visits, and participating in meetings with embassy representatives and other stakeholders. Evaluating the effectiveness of such activities.
– Collaborating with academic faculties and other university departments on market intelligence, course promotion, development opportunities, including overseas visits/collaboration, and partnership development. Regularly liaising with internal stakeholders.
– Monitoring international student applications and working closely with the Admissions team during the application/admission process.
– Producing country-specific strategies and managing budgets for each country.

**Travel Requirements:**

Extensive overseas travel (up to 12 weeks per year) is required to represent the University of Northampton at international student recruitment events and visit partner institutions, potential collaborators, and overseas representatives as appropriate.

### About You

**Essential Qualifications and Experience:**

– Educated to degree level, equivalent qualification, or commensurate experience.
– Experience in a similar role, with the ability to develop and implement marketing and recruitment plans in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships.
– Proven experience working both independently and as part of a team, coupled with outstanding organizational and planning skills.

**Desirable Qualifications:**
– Professional marketing qualification.

### Department Information

The International Recruitment team is a part of the Global Engagement department, focusing on recruiting and admitting on-campus international students to the University of Northampton and handling the associated marketing activities.
