We have an exciting opportunity available in the International Office of the University, within the Directorate of External Relations. The International Officer position is part of the University’s efforts to internationalize and increase student recruitment.
The International Office is part of the wider Directorate of External Relations, which is a division within the University’s Professional Services. The Professional Services department consists of approximately 1500 staff members and includes various functions related to students, academics, and support roles.
The main responsibility of the International Office is to market and recruit students for the University of Aberdeen. This involves working closely with all departments to meet student recruitment targets, building relationships with prospective students, influencers, and other stakeholders. The office also aims to enhance the international profile of the University through academic and commercial partnerships.
As an International Officer, your main role will be to contribute to the University’s international recruitment efforts. This includes increasing the number of international students and improving the conversion rate of applicants to registered students at various levels of study. Currently, this vacancy is within our Americas team.
In addition to your external responsibilities, you will also have internal duties to facilitate connectivity between various sections within the Directorate, such as Admissions, Enquiries, and Digital Marketing. You will report directly to the Regional Manager and will need to liaise closely with prospective students, administrative and academic departments, University representatives overseas, and partner organizations.
The salary for this position will be in accordance with Grade 5, ranging from £31,396 to £34,980 per annum, based on qualifications and experience. For more information or informal inquiries, please contact Joseph Whimster, Head of International Recruitment.
