Location: Bailrigg, Lancaster UK
Type: Full-time, indefinite
Interview date: Tuesday 21st May 2024

Are you passionate about marketing and higher education? Do you thrive in dynamic work environments and excel at handling multiple tasks? Are you interested in marketing and communications for international audiences? We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic marketing specialist to join the University’s Marketing Office. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering international marketing projects across various channels and media.

Based within the Campaigns Team, which focuses on brand-level marketing for student recruitment, you will work on web, email marketing, advertising, organic social campaigns, and the creation of online and offline assets like videos and prospectuses. The team is composed of marketing, communications, and digital content experts who conduct B2C activities throughout the customer journey.

We utilize content marketing across the entire applicant journey, from top-of-funnel marketing like advertising and printed guides, to our website and social media platforms, and even more personalized marketing communications through our CRM. Therefore, along with marketing and communications experience, you should possess a thorough understanding of digital and traditional techniques and platforms. Additionally, you should have experience in content production, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and professional standards. Good IT and analytical skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently.

Having a flair for writing and excellent proofreading skills are also key requirements for this position, ensuring that all written information sent to our applicants and offer holders is of the highest quality. Strong communication skills are vital as you will collaborate with various stakeholders, particularly internal teams. You should also be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing your own workload and priorities.

Familiarity with legislation such as the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is expected, and you must be committed to upholding these regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time, indefinite role, with the possibility of flexible arrangements. The position involves a hybrid work model, with both on-campus and remote work. Please be aware that this role will require you to work during the clearing and confirmation period, which usually falls around mid-August, near A level results day. Leave during this period will be limited.
