Job Description:
The International Faculty and Scholarship Coordinator at Arizona State University is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of campus internationalization programs and academic success initiatives for the international population. This includes supporting the international faculty and scholars team in immigration application processing and providing assistance based on their knowledge and expertise. The Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director and performs various duties to ensure the success of international faculty and scholars at the university.
Salary Range: $42,000 – $46,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties:
1. Oversee front desk operations and student employees.
2. Serve as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the J-1 student exchange visitor population.
3. Develop and coordinate resources and materials to advance campus internationalization initiatives for international faculty and scholar success.
4. Act as a liaison with the community, faculty, scholars, and staff to facilitate university-wide programs.
5. Consult with ASU staff and international faculty/scholars to inform them of the development of various academic and leadership activities.
6. Lead training webinars for department contacts and beneficiaries for various visa types.
7. Provide international scholar consultations on services, English language, and other related topics.
8. Develop and carry out program evaluation activities.
9. Participate in the action plans for the International Students and Scholars Center.
10. Develop compliance workshops, focus groups, and programmatic events tailored to multiple campuses and specific population groups.
11. Develop services to fulfill international faculty and scholar support, professional development, cultural adjustment, and immigration needs.
12. Develop performance indicators and accountability reports for programs, workshops, and events.
13. Develop tracking and follow-up mechanisms to understand the progression and engagement of international scholars.
14. Possess knowledge of foreign national visa categories such as F-1, J-1, H-1B, TN, and PR to support various application processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment.
2. Three (3) years of related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in higher education, international education, intercultural communication, or a related field.
2. Experience in program budgeting, development, coordination, and evaluation.
3. Experience in cross-cultural communication.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of trends related to campus internationalization and international faculty and scholar recruitment.
5. Experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and drawing conclusions from student data sets.
6. Evidence of eligibility to work in the US.
Working Environment:
1. Activities primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting.
2. Subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
3. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of a desktop computer.
4. May involve bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
5. May require irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
