The University of St Andrews is thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for an International Education Liaison Officer. This unique role focuses on supporting the recruitment, conversion, and selection of students from around the world, while collaborating with various departments within the Admissions unit. The goal is to enhance the University’s global presence and improve recruitment success.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, the position will primarily concentrate on Southeast Asia and Oceania, attracting outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students and strengthening St Andrews’ influence in these regions. Apart from consolidating our position in existing markets through event participation and support for our agent representatives, the role will also play a vital role in gathering insights about new market developments and exploring alternative recruitment strategies.

The ideal candidate must possess effective cross-cultural communication skills and be able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. This includes individuals within the University such as academic Schools and professional services, as well as prospective applicants, their influencers, school and institutional partners, and agent representatives. Exceptional customer service is a must, and the successful candidate will take the lead in managing the University’s overseas agent representative network to enhance recruitment and conversion.

Proficiency in various digital technologies is necessary to establish and enhance the St Andrews global brand. The candidate will ensure the appropriate use of regionally and audience-specific platforms and channels. Additionally, they will support applicants from all backgrounds throughout the admissions process and be comfortable with monitoring and interpreting data, presenting findings in customized reports in a timely manner.
