The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is seeking an International Development Officer to join our dynamic UniSQ International Portfolio. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our international endeavors, helping to enhance UniSQ’s global profile through the recruitment of international students and the establishment of key partnerships worldwide.

How You Can Contribute

In this role, you will manage the day-to-day administration of international research training partnership programs and sponsorship initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the Cotutelle Program: Facilitate joint supervision and dual PhD awards through collaborations with two universities.
  • Managing Agreements and Scholarships: Oversee all international sponsor and research training partnerships, ensuring compliance with governance requirements.
  • Administering Applications: Handle international sponsored student applications and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) scholarship processes.
  • Organizing Workshops: Plan and execute international research-focused workshops, as well as develop supporting materials for UniSQ International.

What Will Help You Succeed

To thrive in this position, you’ll need:

  • A Relevant Degree: Preferably with extensive administrative experience in Higher Degree Research or research management.
  • Project Management Skills: Including expertise in organizing workshops and events.
  • Data Management Abilities: Experience in working with complex databases and interpreting data.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with a culturally diverse range of stakeholders and provide exceptional client service.
  • Legislative Expertise: Proven experience in applying and interpreting complex legislation, rules, policies, and procedures.
