The Architectural Association (AA) is an independent architectural school and an international cultural hub, serving as a vibrant forum for intellectual exchange. Renowned for being a major center for debate, the AA offers a diverse public program featuring lectures, symposia, and exhibitions, accompanied by relevant publications. Established in 1847 and beginning as a day school in 1901, the AA is dedicated to the public’s benefit through architecture-focused learning, teaching, discussion, and promotion. Recognized globally as a leader in architectural education, the AA boasts alumni who are some of the world’s foremost architects, scholars, critics, and educators. The institution’s undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs are validated by various external professional and academic bodies.
The campus is situated in the historic Bedford Square, London, complemented by a 350-acre woodland area at Hooke Park in Dorset. With an annual revenue of £18 million, the AA hosts a community of 1,000 students, 200 faculty members, 90 staff, 6,500 members, and thousands of visitors engaging with contemporary architectural debates.
**Role Overview:**
The International Development Administrator is a pivotal new role within the AA’s Development, Alumni & Membership team. Collaborating closely with the School Director and Head of International Development, the team focuses on fundraising for scholarships, bursaries, academic and research programs, and capital projects. The role is crucial in engaging and supporting alumni and members globally in strategic and meaningful ways. Responsibilities encompass supporting all fundraising and development activities, especially in event coordination and delivery. The International Development Administrator will interact with key stakeholders, academics, donors, alumni, and members across diverse projects.
